North Island Students’ Union is entering the General Election for 2025. Nominations for Union Representatives opens February 24, 9:00.
Each year, NISU seeks up to 25 students to become Union Representatives; students who will work throughout the year to deliver the events, campaigns and services of the Union.These students will contribute to the decision-making of the Union and will be tasked with delivering its work.
Union Representatives should plan to spend 2 – 20 hours a month on NISU work, 10 months of the year. We seek students from each campus, who are part-time or full-time, trades and academic, who will be in studies from April 1, 2025 – April 30, 2026.
Interested students will be able to get a Nomination form starting February 24 9:00 am, which must be returned completed by March 7, 4:00 pm to be considered.
All Union Representatives must attend the Annual General Meeting, April 2. At this meeting, from among the Union Representatives up to six students will be elected to the Board of Directors, whose term is May 1, 2025 – April 30, 2026.
