North Island Students’ Union is holding our Annual General Meeting, April 2, 2025.
All students at North Island College are welcome to attend as observers. Voting members are the elected Union Representatives.
The 2024/2025 Board of Directors will provide annual report, the election of the 2025/2026 Board of Directors will take place and some housekeeping of bylaws has been referred from the Board of Directors, as follows:
Bylaws IV, V, VI – correcting capitalizations
Bylaw VIII – correcting numbering 1, b iii
Bylaw XI – updating to reflect current Director titles – 1 d instead of jointly working with the Director of External Affairs, it shall read jointly with the Federation and Governance Director. 1 2, instead of assist the Director of College Relations, it shall read assist the Communications Director.

The bylaws were updated in 2022 including changing roles and titles of Directors, and the above mentions were missed. There are no longer any positions called Director of External Affairs or Director of College Relations, so these changes best reflect the current Director names.
The Annual General Meeting will be held in person, with pizza dinner at 411 Anderton Ave, the Evergreen Lounge of the Florence Filberg Centre, 5:00 – 8:00 pm. The meeting is also available via Zoom, email theoffice@nisu.ca to access the link.
