North Island Students’ Union operates a not-for-profit food service on the Courtenay campus of North Island College.
We are seeking a full time cook to join our team, with preference for someone with baking experience.
NISU Eats is looking to add a dedicated member to the team.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a unionized kitchen with stable hours and many benefits in the great environment of the North Island College campus community.
Ideally, the candidate brings cafeteria and/or fast food experience as well as an interest in baking. NISU Eats is a small team, to help cover breaks, this team member will also at times handle cashier and barista transactions. NISU Eats is known for great daily specials like Pad Thai, BBQ Chicken Thighs or Tofu with Roasted Potatoes, and this team member will help execute specials.

- Monday to Friday, rare weekend hours
- No evenings past 8:00
- One paid week off in December
- Two weeks summer vacation
- $18/hour
