About NISU Eats
At the Courtenay & Port Alberni campuses, North Island Students’ Union runs the on campus cafeterias. These are run as services to the membership, all NIC students, meaning this is a not-for-profit service of the Union. This results in cost savings for students, with a student first approach to offerings. Everyone is welcome at NISU Eats; college staff and the whole community. When other folks eat here, you help support our low costs for all.
NISU Eats in Courtenay will close January 30, 2026, making way for LUSH Valley to operate, welcome to LUSH Cafe!
Services Available
– Courtenay Cafeteria – Open 7:30 to 2:30, Monday to Thursday, 7:30 – 2:00 Fridays. Closed December 22 – January 5.
– Port Alberni Cafeteria – Open 8:00 to 2:00, Monday to Friday. Closed December 15 – January 5.
– Gift Cards – Support your learner through gift cards. Load the gift card with a value, they tap for quick service.
– Catering – Catering services for the Courtenay campus end November 1.
– Catering services for Port Alberni campus available September to April, contact eats@nisu.ca to learn more.
